It caters to the Yuma, Arizona–El Centro, California area, functioning as an affiliate for both CBS and NBC. The station is owned by Imagicomm Communications and has a shared services agreement (SSA) with News-Press & Gazette Company, which also owns KECY-TV (channel 9), a Fox/ABC/CW+ affiliate licensed in El Centro, and KESE-LD (channel 35), a low-power Telemundo affiliate based in Yuma. KYMA-DT, KECY-TV, and KESE-LD operate from the same studios located on South 4th Avenue in downtown Yuma, while their advertising sales office is situated on West Main Street in El Centro. The transmitter for KYMA-DT can be found to the northwest of Yuma.
