IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WROC) — Joseph Cataldo says it’s rare, but on occasion the smell in his Irondequoit neighborhood off St. Paul Boulevard is so bad, it’ll seep through the windows and walls of his home. “Sometimes you do get a little bit of a whiff,” Cataldo said. “It’s smells like a wastewater treatment plant.”On those days, Dave Moffit, who lives nearby, says it’s unbearable. “It’s very frustrating,” Moffit said.

GREECE, N.Y. (WROC) — Scale down the screening technology at an airport’s security checkpoint and that’s what now greets students entering Arcadia Middle and High Schools in the Greece Central School District. It was set up last week as part of an effort to better detect and prevent weapons and cell phones from entering the building. The new technology has two parts: a pass-through metal detector and a bag scanner.
