AVON, N.Y. (WROC) — Caitlin Blythe is quick to show people the video on her phone that shows the torrent that filled her basement Wednesday night. The water coming from the creek behind her apartment on Sackett Road in Avon. That creek ballooned and crashed into the row of apartments after five inches of rain pounded Avon in less than three hours. “It’s such a huge disaster right now,” Blythe said Friday as she stood outside amid soaked belongings strewn across the lawn.

And he knows they come for more than a pour. “We are one of the oldest breweries in the country, so this brewery has ridden out the storm through the whole thing,” Constantine said.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Town of Victor must now start preparing to provide fire protection for two thirds of the town come September 1. This after the Fishers Fire District Board of Commissioners voted Thursday night to advance a measure that would dissolve the district by August 31, claiming the plan was necessitated by “certain future financial instability.”The board said they’ll hold a public hearing in July before they vote on dissolution.
