The ordinance designates business districts as no U-turn areas. KY3 received a question about U-turns in the city. So we asked about the ordinance.

    GOLDEN, Mo. (KY3) - The Barry County Sheriff’s Office is trying to track down a stolen pickup truck and the person who took it. This happened back on May 26, just before 3:00 a.m. According to deputies, the charcoal-colored 1992 Ford F-150 was stolen from Shumaker Tire on Highway 86 in Golden, Missouri. The truck is the shop vehicle. It has a cracked windshield, no tailgate, and no side mirrors. The pictures you see are of the suspect’s vehicle, an SUV, which was spotted on security video.

    BRANSON, Mo. (KY3) - 62 million Americans found themselves victims of credit card fraud last year, costing billions of dollars, according to security.org, and the Branson Police Department is trying to crack down on skimmers before they happen. So far, the department has said it hasn’t found any illegal skimmers in its efforts, but it wants to deter would-be crooks. The department recently developed a program utilizing its scanner.

    OZARK, Mo. (KY3) - Residents in Ozark are feeling the impact of April’s flooding. Riverside Road remains closed, restricting access to a popular spot for river entry. The bridge over the river itself is in good condition after the flooding. It’s the section of road leading up to the bridge on the southwest side that’s become a problem. Chunks of the road are missing, there are now ripples and waves beneath the pavement, and barricades are up warning people of the closure.

    CALICO ROCK, Ark. (KY3) - The search for an escaped convicted Arkansas killer is now on its fourth day. Grant Hardin escaped from the Arkansas Department of Corrections’ North Central Unit prison in Calico Rock in Izard County. Officials say he disguised himself as law enforcement and walked out of the prison on Sunday. Hardin pleaded guilty in October 2017 to first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of James Appleton, 59.
