GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Thanks to Grand Junction’s 5-4 comeback win over Fruita Tuesday, it all came down to this. Grand Junction vs. Fruita for the Southwestern League title. With the title on the line, it was Fruita’s pitcher Gavin Cardoza who shined. In addition to hitting an RBI, Cardoza allowed just two runs through 6.2 innings pitched. Cardoza pitched as long as he was permitted to.

(KREX) — After dropping their first game of the day in the winner’s bracket to MSU Denver (click here for highlights of that game), the Mavericks had no issue with Adams State to stay alive in the RMAC Tournament. AdvertisementJust two teams remain in the hunt for an RMAC title. MSU Denver and Colorado Mesa will face off at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton Ballpark. If MSU Denver wins, they’re RMAC Champions.

With Delta’s girls soccer team mixing girls from all three Delta County schools (Delta, Cedaredge and North Fork), Black has shined for years as a Panther. A Navy soccer commit, Black has elevated her game to another level in, this, her senior season.

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Sometimes all it takes is one little moment, one small misstep to change everything. It certainly felt like that was the case at Hamilton Ballpark on Thursday when Colorado Mesa met CSU Pueblo in round two of the RMAC tournament. With CSU Pueblo leading 5-3 with two outs in the 4th inning, the Thunderwolves looked in control. After all, this was an elimination game for a team fighting to make the NCAA tournament.
