LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - A man at the Lawton Correctional Facility is facing charges for assaulting another inmate. Trevor Dolittle is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and possession of contraband. According to court documents, Dolittle got into an argument with another inmate and was seen on surveillance video attacking the man with a mental instrument multiple times.

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - A Lawton man who was charged in a 2024 murder has pleaded guilty. Joshua Pedro was arrested and charged in April of last year in the death of Mikayla Blackeagle. According to court documents, Pedro entered a blind plea. Investigators say Pedro admitted to killing Blackeagle during interviews reportedly saying the shooting happened while they were fighting. Surveillance video from the scene showed him firing multiple times at Blackeagle even reloading his gun at one point.

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - The Lawton Police Department will be participating in a fundraising event on April 12, to give back to the community. “Bagging with Badges,” is a fundraising event that helps fund the Special Olympics. During this event, officers will be helping people bag their groceries any tips the officers earn will go straight towards that funding effort. Public Information Officer for LPD Lieutenant Charles Whittington, gave some insight on what to expect from the event.

SULPHUR, Okla. (KSWO) - A man on the Oklahoma Attorney General’s Most wanted list has been arrested. According to Attorney General Gentner Drummond’s office, Jayson Evans was caught and arrested in Sulphur. He made the Most Wanted list for charges of assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do harm and eluding a police officer in Indian Country. The FBI arrested Evans after a tip led authorities to the Chickasaw National Recreation Area.
