    LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - Lawton City Council discussed a plethora of items in effort to alleviate some of the budget stress facing the city. Public Works Director Michael Watrous said when it comes to collecting the state fees, the city was short around $100,000 for the first two quarters. According to Councilman George Gill, the shortfall was around $170,000 last year. Mayor Pro Tem Randy Warren called the landfill a horribly expensive endeavor, and wants the city to at least break even.

    LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - One former Lawton Public Schools teacher is speaking out after she was forced to resign early. Rachel Moore was a three-year teacher at Pioneer Park Elementary. She told 7News at the beginning of the year that a fourth grader was transferred to her class after being disruptive. Over the past several months, Moore said the student repeatedly caused issues without being disciplined accordingly.
