    HARTSELLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Hartselle Tigers are headed back to the promised land. Hartselle defeated Gardendale in two straight games, 7-5 and 12-0, to punch a ticket to the Class 6A Baseball State Championship. After a close win in game one over the Rockets, the Tigers came out hot in game two. Ty Marsh launched a grand slam in the first inning to put his team up ahead 4-0 early. and the rest of the team followed suit,Cain Falciani recorded RBI’s in both contests.

Many of the series have been postponed due to weather, but some have been able to get some play in. Games began Wednesday for some, but most will be playing over the weekend.     HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Whitesburg Christian Academy girls track team has won the 3A state championship for the second year in a row. The Warriors set a new record in the 4×800 meter relay with a 9:49.11, and placed in several events. Mary Taylor finished first in the girls’ 800-meter run with 2:24.67. Lillie Meeks placed first in the 1600-meter run, while Isabelle Allan and Nora Allen finished third and fourth in that same event.
