    TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WHNT) — The Crimson Tide have lost another player to the transfer portal, as Alabama forward Derrion Reid tosses his hat into the transfer ring. The Georgia native was a top recruit in the 2024 Class and was a 2024 McDonald’s All-America, heading into his first year with the Tide. Reid played 24 games with three starts in his freshman season for the Tide, averaging six points and 2.8 rebounds per game. Injuries kept him sidelined for a big portion of the 2024-2025 season.

The former Lee general entered the portal last week, and made his announcement to head to the land of the Aggies on social media. He was named ASUN freshman of the year in his freshman season, and in the following two years, Lane was selected to the First Team All-ASUN.
