SEWARD, Neb. (KOLN) — A Seward man accused of killing his ex-fiancé and attempting to take his own life pled not guilty Monday to all charges against him. Casey Kindt, 54, appeared via video conference for his arraignment in Seward County District Court, where his attorney, Seth Morris, entered not guilty pleas on his behalf. Kindt is charged in three separate filings — all connected to the shooting death of 36-year-old Jamie Hagen.

HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Nebraska Primary Election is Tuesday, May 14, and early ballots have already been sent out to voters who requested them. The deadline to register to vote is April 29 before midnight. You can find a sample ballot specific to your precinct by entering your information on the Nebraska Voter Check website. Only your registered political party’s candidates will appear on your primary ballot, as well as non-partisan races.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Members of the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit made a large drug bust this week, finding 27 pounds of meth hidden in a gas tank of an SUV traveling on I-80. According to Chief Deputy Ben Houchin, task force members pulled over a Chevy Trailblazer with Idaho plates near the I-80 399 exit Wednesday around 10 a.m. The reason the stop was for the vehicle following too close and a broken windshield.
