LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A 19-year-old woman is in critical condition after falling about 50 feet from the top of an abandoned grain silo near downtown Lincoln late Tuesday night, according to Lincoln Police. Officers and Lincoln Fire & Rescue crews responded to the structure near South Sixth and G streets around 10:15 p.m.Captain Todd Kocian said the woman had been hanging out at the site with two friends. One friend stayed outside the silo, while the other went inside with her.

(KOLN) - Although Lincoln’s city election is officially nonpartisan, Democratic leaders are claiming victory after several registered Democrats appeared to win key races, including seats on the City Council, Lincoln Public Schools Board and Airport Authority. The Lancaster County Election Commission released unofficial final results Tuesday night.

(KOLN) - Lincoln drivers should prepare for significant street closures and traffic delays beginning Saturday as thousands of runners take part in the Mayor’s Run and Lincoln Marathon events scheduled for May 3-4. About 2,000 elementary-age students are expected to participate in Saturday’s Mayor’s Run, while more than 7,000 runners will take part in the Marathon or Half Marathon on Sunday.
