The Village of Fox Lake announced late last week that they have agreed to a joint settlement with the Fox Lake Police Pension Board.

CHICAGO — Riot Fest announced that they have secured a multi-year deal to stay in Douglass Park. In a press release, Riot Fest said they will remain in Douglass Park through 2027 with an option to extend through 2029. The updated agreement will triple the park’s infrastructure funding, according to Riot Fest. The Chicago Park District will increase its 10% contribution from Riot Fest revenue to 20%, which will be allocated for capital improvements.

CHICAGO — The Cubs placed starter Justin Steele on the 15-day IL Wednesday with left elbow tendinitis. Steele was dominate Monday night in one of the coldest games ever at Wrigley Field with seven shutout innings. According to MLB.com, he felt an issue during his recovery work Tuesday and the Cubs decided to place him on the IL with left elbow tendinitis. An MRI is scheduled for Thursday. Steele was put on the IL with the same injury at the end of the year for three weeks.
