After Arkansans apply for assistance, a FEMA inspector may contact applicants within ten days to schedule an inspection. A home inspection may take up to 45 minutes to complete. After the inspection, applicants should allow seven to 10 days for processing.

ARKANSAS — President Donald Trump is expected to declare a Major Disaster in Arkansas for the state’s severe storms from April 2. Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders previously submitted a request for a Major Disaster Declaration in response to this storm. “President Trump stands with Arkansas. As we recover from a long series of severe weather events, our state is incredibly thankful for President Trump’s leadership and work to deliver aid to storm-impacted communities,” said Governor Sanders.

Multiple counties that were hit the hardest by Monday night’s storms are still without power on Tuesday. According to the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives, Benton County has 4,100 without power, nearly 1,000 in Henry County, nearly 2,000 in St. Clair County, over 700 in Texas County and over 900 in Dent County. 2,600 members of Sac Osage Electric Cooperative without power Crews are working to restore power after multiple power lines went down in Benton County.
