The U.S. surgeon general is suggesting social media warning labels, similar to the ones found on cigarette boxes. “This warning label is part of a broader strategy to try to address the harms that we are seeing associated with social media for our kids,” said U.S Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy. Dr. Yann Poncin, a child psychiatrist at the Yale School of Medicine, believes if these warning labels do roll out it’ll have more of an impact on parents.

The Greenwich Japanese School in Riverside will be honoring Japanese culture for Asian & Pacific American Heritage Month through a schoolwide dance performance. Students are in the rehearsal stages of the performance, which will be presented in front of their parents on Sports Day. It’s a traditional day in Japan when students showcase multiple sports, including a dance. The school originally planted roots in Jamaica, Queens, in New York back in 1975 but moved to Greenwich in 1992.
