The Senate passed the Kids Online Safety Act on Tuesday. If it passes Congress, the bill will protect children and hold tech accountable for dangerous content on the internet. The legislation has bipartisan support and is backed by parents whose children experienced cyberbullying and parent’s whose children died by suicide after being cyber bullied. KOSA was first introduced by Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn and Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal in February 2022.

Amazon workers rallied on Wednesday by blocking Amazon delivery trucks from leaving the state's biggest Amazon warehouse in Windsor. Drivers represented by Teamsters Local 396 in Palmdale, California picketed for hours in front of the Amazon facility. They complained of low wages and dangerous working conditions. Workers said the protest was a show of solidarity and determination to get fair and equal treatment.

A Bridgeport man who was shot on Iranistan Avenue last week died on Wednesday, police say. Police said 26-year-old Jevoun Rodney was shot in the head and succumbed to his injuries. The shooting happened last Wednesday in broad daylight, according to police reports. “The Bridgeport Police Department's thoughts and prayers go out to Jevoun's family and friends,” the department wrote on Facebook. Friends and family held a vigil on Iranistan Avenue on Wednesday to show respect for the Rodney.

Police say a Bridgeport man is in critical condition after being shot in the head. The shooting happened 11:30 p.m. Monday at the PT Barnum Housing Complex near Building 20. Footage captured shows a large crime scene, with a big crowd and evidence scattered in the street. Investigators say they found the 25-year-old man shot in the head near the building. The shooting comes after an announcement by the U.S. Surgeon General declaring gun violence a public health crisis for the first time.
