The roads in the Town of Paradise took a major hit during and after the 2018 Camp Fire. From damage to wear and tear from debris and tree removal trucks, an upgrade is needed. After securing funding from the Federal Highway Administration (FHA) the town has a plan to give every single public road in Paradise a much-needed upgrade.

On Tuesday, the Chico City Council approved an ad hoc committee comprising over two city council members, local developers, and the Chico Smart Growth Advocates. After failed housing proposals, Chico City Council Member, Tom Van Overbeek, said they want to really work together to find affordable housing solutions.
