The twilight’s soft glowing light, gradually declining in the sky, falls on them like a curtain of obscurity the sun sets below the horizon. An eruption of passion fills their hearts, but there are also feelings of uncertainty that cascade in their thoughts.

    For 21st century audiences, Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew can be confusing. It’s as fun and witty as any of the Bard’s comedies, but it does require a great deal of focus (and maybe a cheat sheet) to navigate multiple characters pretending to be other characters as they engage in various deceptions and wooings in pursuit of wives and dowries.

    For the local music scene in Chico to remain vital, there has to be new blood injected from time to time. There also has to be a handful of people who are putting energy into keeping the happenings happening, and it’s a beautiful thing to witness the moment when a young instigator’s efforts break through, creating a new a new vein of possibilities for them and the scene. Derrien Evans appears to be on the cusp of his moment.
