BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, Ohio — Brooklyn Heights Police Chief David Meade is on administrative leave following his arrest over the weekend for allegedly driving while drunk. Meade is facing a misdemeanor charge for operating a vehicle while impaired. CLEVELAND — Cleveland residents may soon receive a surprise in the mail: a letter informing them that their medical debt has been erased. The notifications come as a Cleveland City Council-led medical debt relief initiative wraps up, concluding a program that helped more than 160,000 residents. According to Akron police, officers responded Saturday to a home in the 1100 block of Lake Shore Boulevard after a frantic 911 call. “I need the police, paramedics too,” a caller said, in audio obtained from the emergency call.
