    Thousands of spectators spent Memorial Day enjoying the 64th annual Wellsville Frontier Days. The event was started in 1961 by a group of families who organized a play day in a meadow. The group wanted to introduce the community to Western frontier recreation. Jim Miller was one of the founders. He never expected the event to grow as much as it has. The animals were shipped from a Lancaster County hatchery on April 29 but never made it to their destination.
