    NEW GOSHEN, Ind. (WTHI) - Cleanup continues in New Goshen after a tornado ripped through the community Wednesday night. The National Weather Service surveyed the area and preliminary indications are that an EF-1 tornado hit the area. The NWS said the tornado touched down at the state line and lifted after traveling nearly 4.5 miles. It had peak wind of 110 mph.

    PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - The Parke County Community Foundation Executive Director, Brad Bumgardner, is retiring. Bumgardner began his relationship with the group in 1997 as a board member until he was selected as the Foundation's first full-time executive director in 2000. Upon retirement, Bumgardner will maintain a consulting role. "As I step into retirement, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible support I have received from so many people throughout my journey," said Bumgardner.

    VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - Emergency workers responded to reports of damage across New Goshen Wednesday night. There were reports of damage to houses, as well as downed trees and power lines. The Vigo County Sheriff's Office is asking people to stay away from the New Goshen area. First responders are in the area assisting residents and assessing storm damage. Officials say the area is not safe.

    VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - Next weekend, the Vermillion Trails Alliance will host the fifth annual Victory Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k. The race is taking place on April 5 at the Vermillion Rise Mega Park, the grounds of the former Newport Chemical Depot. It was a facility that played a significant role in both World War II and Cold War-era defense. The race is a USATF-certified Boston Qualifier course.     CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTHI) - New capital projects are being planned at Clay Community Schools. The school board recently approved the sale of general obligation bonds, worth up to $3 million, to help pay for a series of projects. The district is planning for new HVAC systems at Clay City, Forest Park, North Clay and Van Buren, as well as roofing at Jackson and flooring needs at Northview. Officials are also eyeing parking lots throughout the district and some technology upgrades.
