MILTON, Wis.- A casual day of boating on Lake Koshkonong almost turned tragic if it wasn't for the quick thinking of one family. “Things can happen so quick,:” Eric Hughes, 23, told News 3 Now Tuesday. Hughes was quick enough, after hearing a loud crash while out on his family's pontoon boat on the evening of Thursday, June 20. “The pontoon had kind of ran over the Jon boat,” he found, after the two had collided.

MADISON, Wis. -- Juneteenth 2025 was a historic one for the Center for Black Excellence and Culture. Founder Rev. Dr. Alex Gee announced the Center will open debt-free later this year. From last Juneteenth to this year, the Center on Madison's south side has literally risen from the ground. Gee and his team gave a first-look inside the new space this week as it comes together. The 37,000 square-foot building will feature performance spaces, a youth space with meeting rooms, a women's center and more.
