WALBRIDGE, Ohio — A former Walbridge police officer who was charged with statutory rape, among other charges, was indicted on several felony charges and one misdemeanor charge in Ottawa County Court of Common Pleas on Wednesday. This marks the fourth round of indictments for the officer to date. According to court documents, Austin Sabo, 23 was indicted on a sexual imposition misdemeanor charge.

TOLEDO, Ohio — The Toledo Hemp Center will be closing it's doors for good on Thursday, Oct. 31. According to social media posts, the THC retailer is closing due to increased rent for their store space and a lack of sales in the Toledo area. The Hemp Center, which is located off of Jackman Road, opened 11 years ago in west Toledo.

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police are investigating a shooting in east Toledo early Saturday morning. According to police, officers were dispatched to the corner of Church Street and Prentice Avenue, near Freedom Plaza on Navarre Avenue, around 1 a.m. after receiving a call about a person shot. Responding officers said they located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound upon arrival and identified her as 32-year-old Elisha Meraz.
