LIVONIA, MI – A 31-year-old man was shot by a Metro Detroit police officer on Friday after a confrontation at a local business and taken to a nearby hospital. The Livonia Police Department responded to the report of a man with a gun near Middlebelt and Five Mile roads at around 2:10 p.m. Friday, June 6. According to a news release, the report indicated the man was behaving erratically while brandishing a gun.

MENOMINEE, MI – The body of the 42-year-old woman whose disappearance prompted a days-long search by an Upper Peninsula lighthouse last winter has been found. Lisa Janine Pipp, of Greendale, Wisconsin, was reported missing Jan. 13 after an incident on the ice of Green Bay when police said she walked away from an argument with her boyfriend and toward open water.
