VALLEY CITY, Ohio (WOIO) - The Medina County Sheriff’s Office is naming the suspect in a drive-by shooting that left a home riddled with bullets. Deputies say Thomas E. Wurtz III, 22, fired multiple shots into a home on May 18 in Valley City. According to police, officers were called out just before 5 a.m. to the 5400 block of Grafton Road. They arrived to find the home shot up, but thankfully none of the five people inside were hurt.

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - Akron police say after a months-long investigation, U.S. Marshals have made an arrest in connection to a shooting inside a crowded bar in March. The shooting happened in the early morning hours of March 10 at the Field House Lounge in the 300 block of Paul Williams St. Three people were hurt. Akron police say Jakel Blackwell, 22, is facing charges of felonious assault, having weapons under disability and carrying a concealed weapon.

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - A rideshare became a nightmare Sunday in Akron when police say two passengers robbed a Lyft driver of his vehicle. According to police, it happened before 3:16 a.m. as the driver was already giving two women a ride. Officers say the driver had stopped in the 2200 block of 25th Street SW to pick up two men as additional passengers. On the way to their destination, according to police, one of the men pulled out a gun and ordered the driver and women out of the car.

STARK COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A 23-year-old Jackson Township man is now facing charges for allegedly shooting his cousin. Jackson Township Police said Christian Huggins is charged with felonious assault and locked up in the Stark County Jail. According to police, the shooting happened around 9:40 p.m. on May 24 at a home in the 5600 block of Lasater Street NW. When officers arrived, they learned two cousins had been arguing, when one shot the other in the leg.

LORAIN, Ohio (WOIO) - Lorain police say an armed and dangerous suspect is on the loose Thursday after making threats at a local Dollar General store. Officers say they are currently searching for Donte Griffin, and people are asked not to approach if they see him. According to police, Griffin was armed inside the store late Monday morning and threatened at least one person. He managed to get away before police could arrest him.
