A pair of Brooklyn shootings seven minutes and two blocks apart left two men dead and a third clinging to life, police said Monday. The explosion of violence began with a man shot in the chest near Flushing Ave. and Steuben St. in Clinton Hill at 10:51 p.m. Sunday. Medics rushed the victim, believed to be in his 30s, to New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital but he couldn’t be saved. The victim wasn’t carrying ID and cops were working to identify him Monday.

Among those promoted Friday at the NYPD Police Academy in College Point, Queens were two cops with ties to the department that go beyond the badge. Officer Gina Buscemi, who will next month mark her decade milestone with the department, was promoted to sergeant. On hand was her father, James Buscemi, who served nearly 34 years with the NYPD and was a sergeant with the elite Emergency Service Unit until 2017.

A hit-and-run box truck driver fatally struck a 68-year-old motorist parked on the shoulder of a Queens expressway just outside Kennedy Airport, cops said Monday. The box truck driver was headed east on the Nassau Expressway when he crashed into a Honda CR-V near the JFK Expressway about 1:15 p.m. Sunday, cops said. Medics rushed U Fo Ng, the 68-driver of the CR-V, to Jamaica Hospital, where he later died, police said. Ng lived on the Lower East Side, according to cops.

Two men were shot, one fatally, on a Bronx street four blocks from where a 2-year-old boy was wounded by a stray bullet just hours earlier, police said Sunday. Shots rang out near E. 187 St. and Tiebout Ave. in Fordham about 8:50 p.m. Saturday, cops said. A 25-year-old man was shot in the chest and a 23-year-old man was blasted in the stomach and buttocks. Both were rushed to a local hospital, where the older man died. His name was not immediately released. The younger man was in stable condition.

A 47-year-old man was fatally shot in front of a Bronx apartment building, police said Sunday. The victim was shot multiple times all over his body on Morris Ave. near E. 183rd St. in Fordham about 9:40 p.m. Saturday, cops said. Medics rushed him to St. Barnabas Hospital but he couldn’t be saved. His name was not immediately released. No arrests have been made.
