The show is expertly directed by Stephen Daldry and co-director Justin Martin. As Henry Creel, Louis McCartney is a phenomenon. Since 2018, “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” has brought cinematic magic and adventure to the Broadway stage. 2023’s “Back to the Future,” based on the movie, was a bad musical, but 1.21 gigawatts of fun.

This new play is by Eliya Smith. New Jersey's Arjun Athalye plays Bard, one of the teenagers. Louisa Thompson designed the impressive cabin, complete with bunk beds and pictures on the wall. I had never heard of Hurt, Virginia, before seeing "Grief Camp," the plodding new play by Eliya Smith taking place off-Broadway at Atlantic Theater Company. But this small town, where the show takes place, does exist.

Earth Day took place April 22 with the theme "Our Power, Our Planet." But if you missed the chance to do something for our world, Monmouth County Park System is hosting an Earth Day Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Huber Woods Environmental Center in Middletown. The event includes live animal displays, guided nature walks, crafts and more.
