(WSMV) - People across Middle Tennessee are headed to their local hardware stores for damage repair supplies after severe storms blew through last week, but U.S. tariffs could mean you’ll pay more for the necessities. General Manager at B&C Ace Hardware in Brentwood Brad Hailey says he can barely keep some of those cleanup staples on the shelves, but some of those items are getting pricier.

ETHERIDGE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Part of the roof of Thousand Hills Cowboy Church in Lawrence County is now covered by tarps after a severe thunderstorm blew through Etheridge Thursday afternoon. Connections Minister for the church Boomer Harris says it’s a blessing no one was hurt. He told WSMV there was a group of about a dozen men working in a nearby barn when it happened.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Nashville’s Metro Emergency Alert & Notification System (MEANS) forwarded 111 weather warnings from the National Weather Service during severe storms between April 3-6. The MEANS system was launched in 2019 as a way for city officials to send emergency alerts to citizens via phone calls and/or texts. It can be used for severe weather related alerts or in other potentially dangerous situations like an active shooter threat.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Thomas Brimage and his family first saw their home in 2011. They had come to the Woodstock neighborhood in northern Clarksville to help people recover from the second flood in less than two years. “Loved the house, so it was like, one day we’ll live over there,” Brimage said. He says he was told the flooding problem was fixed, so when they moved in, in 2021, they never thought the scene from 10 years ago would repeat itself. “It was our dream home.
