The African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund kicked off the fundraising campaign with a $1.5 million grant.     MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two people are dead after a shooting near a school in South Memphis. Memphis Police responded to a shooting on Mississippi Boulevard near South Lauderdale Street, steps away from Booker T. Washington High School, at 3 p.m. Thursday. According to Deputy Chief Webb Kirkdoffer, two males were pronounced dead on the scene. Booker T. Washington High School was placed on lockdown.
