FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT)— Police say they found a man and a woman who were both shot and killed inside a home Monday night. According to Fort Wayne Police, officers were called to check out the home because the front door was left wide open. Officers arrived around 8:45 and called out to anyone inside the home. When no one answered, they entered and found the man and woman who had been shot. Investigators say there is no threat to the public.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — (UPDATED 9:29 pm) Firefighters were called to a fire just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and were still working to get it under control nearly three hours later. According to Fort Wayne Fire Department Asst. Chief Lance Dafforn, the fire is burning deep inside a pile of scrap metal outside of OmniSource at 3101 Maumee Ave., a scrap metal processing facility. Dafforn says FWFD is unable to get to the fire so they have been "tearing into" the pile to reach it better.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) —Fort Wayne police arrested a 15-year-old boy in connection with a shooting 8 days after investigators say he pulled the trigger. Officers responded to a call of a shooting just before 1:30 p.m. April 1st and found an adult female who had been shot. Police say she was lying in a parking lot. She was treated at the scene before she was rushed to the hospital. Police say she had life-threatening injuries.

According to the health department, the case involves a minor who was not vaccinated. It did not provide an age or any other information about the minor patient. The patient is reported to be stable and recovering.
