FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Fort Wayne police are investigating a reported shooting that happened early Friday on Wells Street. According to police dispatchers, the shooting was called in at 2:05 a.m. in the 2600 block on Wells Street, off of Russell Avenue. FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Fort Wayne Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Wednesday on the city’s southeast side, dispatchers say. The shooting was called in at 2:49 a.m. on Oliver Street, a block south of East Rudisill Boulevard, according to dispatchers. Medics took a seven-year-old child to the hospital, officers on scene tell 21Alive. The extent of the child’s injuries is still unclear. 21Alive will provide further updates as they become available.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Three people made it out of their apartment building as it caught fire early Friday morning, the Fort Wayne Fire Department says. In a media release, the fire department says the fire broke out at 1 a.m. Friday at 7035 Thamesford Drive, just off of Maplecrest Road. The building is part of Communities of Chadwick apartment complex. When firefighters arrived on scene, they began battling the flames and searching the apartments. Three residents self-evacuated beforehand.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - One person is in serious condition following a crash involving a pedestrian north of downtown Fort Wayne on Thursday. According to city/county dispatchers, the crash happened in the 2800 block of North Clinton Street around 10 p.m.Dispatchers say one person is in serious condition. ROANOKE, Ind. (WPTA) - Two people are dead after a shooting at a home in Roanoke that happened Thursday night, the Huntington County Sheriff’s Office says. In a news release, the sheriff’s office says that Huntington Central Dispatch received a 911 call around 9:08 p.m. The caller reported a shooting that happened at a house on Allen Street in Roanoke, in a neighborhood off of Seminary Street and E 1000 N.
