FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - The Manchester Squires baseball team took the field against the Trine Thunder Tuesday evening at Parkview Field as part of the PSM classic. Manchester looked comfortable on the home field of the Fort Wayne TinCaps, slugging 20 hits en route to the 14-6 victory over Trine. The two Northeast Indiana DIII squads were playing at Parkview Field as part of the PSM Classic, which gives regional high school and college teams the chance to compete in Fort Wayne's MiLB stadium.

LANSING, Mich. (WFFT) - TinCaps shortstop Leo De Vries more than lived up to his prospect pedigree in Tuesday evening's win over the Lansing Lugnuts. De Vries went 5-5 with two home runs and hit for the cycle, helping Fort Wayne overcome a seven-run deficit en route to the 15-14 victory. De Vries hit his first home run of the evening in his first at bat, launching the TinCaps to a 1-0 lead. The Padres top prospect then doubled with two outs in the third inning but didn't score.

CORALVILLE, Iowa (WFFT) - The Fort Wayne Komets took the series lead in their first round Kelly Cup playoff matchup with a Monday night victory. The Komets defeated the Iowa Heartlanders 7-6 in overtime in a game defined by momentum shifts. The Heartlanders scored first less than five minutes into the game. The Komets tied it up courtesy of team captain Jack Dugan's third goal in the past two games.
