    Over 7,381 Seattle City Light customers in South Seattle and Tukwila were without power Wednesday afternoon, according to outage maps. The outage event, apparently caused by a branch that fell on a power line, started around 2 p.m.As of 4:45 p.m., about 6,000 customers have been restored, with 1,742 outages remaining in the southern tip of the city and Tukwila areas. “Staff and crew continue to investigate and assess the problem,” City Light spokesperson Jenn Strang said in an email.

    A boy was shot Tuesday afternoon outside Lincoln High School in Tacoma, sending the school into lockdown, police said. The boy was shot around 2:49 p.m., just before dismissal, off South 37th Street, Tacoma Police Department spokesperson Sgt. John Correa said. The boy suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening. A suspect was not in custody as of 4:30 p.m.The shooting happened off school property, but it sent the building into a modified lockdown.

    A man was shot and killed in Kent's East Hill neighborhood Monday afternoon, police say. Officers found the man bleeding from his head inside a vehicle around 2:32 p.m. near Southeast 240th Street and 108 Avenue Southeast, police said. The vehicle had crashed into other cars. The man was extracted from the locked vehicle and died despite lifesaving efforts. The 28-year-old suspected shooter remained on the scene and surrendered his firearm, police say.

SPD is saying one person was killed in this shooting. Additionally, a fatal stabbing occurred a few blocks down on 4th Ave this evening. The incidents aren’t connected. Chief Barnes is expected to speak to media soon.
