According to Lytle Mayor Ruben Gonzalez, the crash happened Wednesday, April 16, when a customer backed into a gas line. The incident resulted in a gas line break which lead to the temporary closure of the Lytle Bill Miller location.

Construction on Loop 1604 continues with the latest ramp closure to impact San Antonio drivers. Starting on Tuesday, April 15, the westbound I-10 ramp to eastbound Loop 1604 will be permanently closed, the Texas Department of Transportation said. The closure is needed in order to complete construction of the new flyover. "The interchange project is over 60% complete and the contractor is on schedule to open two new flyover ramps in 2025.
