But the good news is that it's now been taken over by The Good Egg and is getting ready to reopen.     What do we need to know about Mr Porter? This new steakhouse is the first of two big restaurant openings this year at the Hilton on Park Lane. The other is the rooftop restaurant, which gets its reveal next month. This comes from the Entourage Group who also have Mr Porters in Amsterdam, Barcelona and Ibiza. They bill it as a modern steakhouse meets cocktail lounge, and the room is pretty evenly split between the space given to the bar and the restaurant. Where exactly is it?

    As far as we're concerned, there's always room for more places to sit and recover from a massive shopping expedition when you're on Oxford Street. So the arrival of Noreen to St Christopher's Place this summer can only be a positive thing. Although there are plenty of Middle-Eastern restaurants to choose from in this part of town, the owners are hoping that they have a couple of features to make them stand out from the crowd.

    In a blow for Peckham and Nunhead foodies, last night the pair behind all the Kudu restaurants and bars in the area - Kudu, Kudu Grill and Curious Kudu announced they're moving the business to Marylebone. Amy Corbin and husband Patrick Williams have spent the last eight years helping to contribute to South East London's amazing food scene so their departure to the shiny streets of central London will be keenly felt.
