Is this the restaurant I've been seeing all over social recently? You may well have seen the odd social post about this restaurant already. One Club Row feels like it's hit the ground running with a slew of posts (from ourselves included) focusing on that very Insta-friendly graffitied door in Shoreditch which leads up to the restaurant. But this is much more than just a cool new opening.

Not wanting to be left out of the general London obsession with noodles, super luxe hotel The Peninsula London is getting in on the trend. They've just opened up a noodle bar that serves up a tight menu of noodle dishes alongside Gweilo beers from Hong Kong and the bar's own cocktail list. The chefs behind the menu are the multi-award-winning Hou Yurui who has worked on the concept with Jonnie Liang, Executive Sous Chef from The Peninsula Beijing.
Selfridges is putting on a Coach bags and It's Bagels pop-up on Oxford Street

If you're not paying attention the next time you wander in and out of Selfridges you might be forgiven for wondering if you've somehow managed to transport yourself to NYC instead. That's because the Oxford Street department store has designed a fortnight's Big Apple experience with Coach and It's Bagels. The idea is to celebrate the two brands' New York roots and as part of that, the entrance to the store will be decked out in the style of a "New York streetscape".

Not content with having one of the hardest-to-book restaurants in West London in Dorian, or the viral sushi experience Tuna Fight Club, the team responsible for both of those is now gearing up to open a sushi bar in Notting Hill. Eel has taken over an old antiques shop on Talbot Road. We don't know too much about it other than that it'll be a 10 seater restaurant that they're describing as a traditional sushi offering with "no omakase horseshit and ponce".
Blinds is a 'cosy new wine bar' opening on Hackney Road

If you feel that your part of London could do with a few more decent wine bars, then you might feel that one particular part of East London has more than its fair share. Hackney Road is already home to the likes of Sager + Wilde (the OG natural wine bar) and Provisions but it's gearing up for another new opening this summer. Blinds is a new bar that's opening up in an former blinds shop, hence the name, almost opposite Provisions.

Is this a new restaurant? Not exactly. Instead it's one of those creative collaborations that East London seems to do so well. The venue is brand new bar Câv, which sees Chris Tanner and Edwin Frost, the people behind Dram and Oranj, taking over the old Japanese Canteen site in Bethnal Green. It's always been planned as a cocktail bar with a rotating residency as far as food goes, and the first people to take over the kitchen are Tasca, who are here for a year. Who's behind Tasca then?

That's the new career path of chef Tom Kemble, who won a Michelin star while running the restaurant at Bonhams and has also worked in top-level kitchens like Hedone and Faviken, but is now opening a pizzeria. Spring Street is the end result of a passion project born during lockdown.

Mayfair residents wondering what's happening over at the old Ruya site on Upper Grosvenor Street, next to Corrigan's, should know that they'll have a new restaurant on their doorstep before the end of the year. Turns out that it's been bought by the Thesleff Group which is behind Los Mochis in Notting Hill, Sale e Pepe in Knightsbridge and the Juno and Luna omakase restaurants. Right now, we don't know exactly what they have planned for it, as contracts have just been signed.
