MADISON (WKOW) — Firefighters quickly responded to a trash fire at a high-rise Friday at 822 East Washington Ave., containing it in the dumpster. Firefighters arrived within 3 minutes of the dispatch at 3:50 p.m. They found a smoking dumpster in the first-floor parking garage, according the Madison Fire Department (MFD). Maintenance staff had already used a dry chemical extinguisher before firefighters arrived, spokesperson Cynthia Schuster reported.

GRANT COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) — A man was cited for second-offense OWI after a single-vehicle rollover crash Friday on Govier Road. Michael Tillotson, 51, of Bagley, was driving a 2005 Dodge Dakota when he failed to navigate a curve and crashed into round bales, causing the truck to roll onto its roof, according to the Grant County Sheriff's Office. The crash happened in the town of North Lancaster.

JUNEAU, Wis. (WKOW) — A fundraiser is being planned for a dairy farmer in Juneau whose farm was devastated by a tornado in May. The fundraiser is for Bob Schwandt. On May 15, a tornado tore through his property, pulling the roof off his home, destroying a garage and knocking over a silo. Two tornadoes hit the ground in Juneau on May 15. The first was rated an EF2 with estimated peak winds at 120 mph, according to the National Weather Service in Milwaukee.
