TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Members of the Chabad-Tucson Young Israel Congregation were shocked to discover hateful graffiti on their synagogue Tuesday morning. The Tucson Police Department (TPD) is investigating the incident as a hate crime. The phrase "End Apartheid Abolish Israel" was found painted in purple on the building near Tucson Boulevard and 6th Street. The graffiti was not only damaging to the structure but also deeply offensive to the congregation.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The family of Roberto Flores Junior, a Tucson man shot and killed just before Thanksgiving on the west side, is speaking out for the first time. They are appealing for witnesses to come forward and assist in the investigation. The Tucson Police Department has been working on this case for five months but has yet to make any arrests. The victim’s family believes they know who is responsible but needs witnesses to step forward to help police.

Couch had been on life support for nearly two weeks after being struck in the neck with a hatchet while waiting at a bus stop near 6th Avenue and Broadway. He was with his wife, moving from California back to Alabama after the loss of their newborn baby.

Jacob Couch, 32, passed away Thursday night at Banner University Medical Center after being on life support for nearly two weeks. According to investigators, Couch was struck from behind in the neck with a hatchet while waiting at a bus stop near Sixth Avenue and Broadway.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - A Tucson man is in jail after admitting to shooting a transient man living with him. Dirk Prather, who is accused of first-degree murder, claims he acted in self-defense. On April 5, Tucson police responded to a shooting call at a home near 21st Street and 6th Avenue. Prather had a neighbor call 911, saying he killed a homeless man, identified as Clayton Bishop, after being attacked.
