They could drink in the historic atmosphere of the old St Mary at the Walls Church or relax in the sun among the headstones in the graveyard.

    The Waverley is retirning to Clacton later this year (Image: Clacton Pier) The world’s last seagoing passenger-carrying paddle steamer returns to the Sunshine Coast later this year. Tickets are now on sale for the Waverley, with five trips leaving Clacton Pier in September and October. Three of the voyages involve the ever popular River Thames sailings passing under a floodlit Tower Bridge and two other offer live entertainment on the way to their destinations.
