    The Burnham on Crouch RNLI volunteer crew responded to a pan pan emergency call on the evening of Thursday, May 22, after a vessel was reported taking on water just outside the River Crouch. A nearby fishing vessel was first to reach the stricken boat and found it low in the water at the stern. The RNLI lifeboat Tony and Robert Britt, with four volunteer crew members on board, quickly arrived on scene to take over the rescue effort.
