Tackling projects from Brigham City to Bicknell, more than a thousand Zions Bank volunteers got to work this week as part of Zions' 33rd annual paint-a-thon. Employees and their families worked on 15 projects across the state Monday and Tuesday, wrapping up Wednesday. Perfect conditions greeted the competitors, crowds and vendors this past weekend at the 21st Soldier Hollow Classic Sheepdog Championship and Festival in Heber Valley. Events included the popular sheepdog trials, demonstrations, food and craft vendors and entertainment for four-day event.

Former Midvalley Elementary School students who are graduating from high school this year donned the caps and gowns they'll wear at next week's Canyons District graduation ceremonies on Friday for a visit to their former elementary school. During the morning gathering, the students visited their former teachers and inspired the current elementary-age students to continue pursuing their dreams through education.

The rain came, but so did dance and music groups representing Bolivia and many other countries of South America, Polynesia, Ireland, Mexico, India, the Philippines, Greece, Serbia, Tibet and more during the Living Traditions Festival in downtown Salt Lake City. And everyone had a good time. The three-day event included hands-on workshops, food demos, kids' activities and Sundance film screenings at Washington Square and Library Square throughout the weekend.
