Tuesday, he addressed the Senate floor, tackling a couple issues regarding national defense. The first was the National Defense Authorization Act, which still needs to be passed by Congress. He spoke of the importance of the bill and why he thinks action should be taken to get it passed.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Aubrey Glascock, 45, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for repeatedly raping a child over several years when the victim was between the ages of 4 and 9. Glascock pleaded guilty to second-degree rape in May 2024. RELATED: Trial date for man accused of 1st degree rape may changeThis case was originally investigated back in 2012 but was not prosecuted while Glascock was serving a sentence in Colorado for assaulting the same victim.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - The Justice Department and Bennett County have agreed to resolve a claim that the county failed to make its registration and early voting equally open to native American voters. As a result of the agreement, Bennett County will operate a satellite in Allen, South Dakota to provide in-person registration and absentee voting services. This office will stay open for the full state-mandated 46-day absentee voting period before federal, state, and county elections.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - One bar near the Badlands is returning for the rally in a building you may not expect. The Grain Bin at Sobo’s campgrounds is about 30 miles out of town on the way to the Badlands and offers a spot for bikers to stop and grab a drink before they see the beauty of the area. Located off of SD-44 about 35 miles east of Rapid City or 3 miles west of Scenic. As the name suggests, the bar is housed in an old grain bin that has been re-purposed to serve drinks.
