The club is already busy selling tickets for the raffle to win a grade Belgian Blue cross heifer born in October 2023. If a show Heifer is not your thing, the GAA club say you can take a cash prize of €2500 instead. There are also some smaller cash prizes for the runners-up.

Two mental health charities and the Mountrath Women's Shed are set to get a boost from an upcoming tractor run fundraiser held in memory of a Laois man who died suddenly in 2021. The latest edition of the Rev for Trev 2025 Tractor Run takes place on Sunday, May 11 in Mountrath and surrounding areas. The organisers say previous years have delivered fun for all ages while raising funds for good community causes and they say this year will be no different.
