A new hub is to be launched to serve as a 'one-stop centre' for migrants and refugees living in Cork City to access health services. Migrants' rights charity Nasc, in partnership with Cork City Council and the HSE, is launching the Migrant Health Hub which will see HSE staff helping migrants with queries on how they can access health services in Cork.

On the warmest day of the year, Snow Patrol cranked up the heat even further with a red-hot performance in Cork City. Taking to the stage shortly after 9pm at Musgrave Park, the band quenched the crowd's thirst for hits on an idyllic balmy summer's night. The Northern Irish trio were supported by two Belfast bands, The Florentinas and Esmeralda Road, who get the crowd in the mood ahead of the main event.

The record-breaking EuroMillions ticket that saw a lucky punter win €250m on Tuesday was sold in a retail store in Co Cork, the National Lottery has confirmed. The National Lottery has also said that the ticket holder who won the record jackpot has since made contact with the Prize Claims team. The winning numbers were 13, 22, 23, 44, 49. The two Lucky Stars are 3 and 5. Spokesperson for the National Lotto, Emma Monaghan, said the name of the winning Cork shop "will be announced tomorrow".

A man has died following a house fire in Co Roscommon on Wednesday evening. Gardaí and fire services attended the scene of the incident at around 7.15pm in Frenchpark. The fire was then extinguished, and the body of a man was removed from the scene. The man's body has since been taken to University Hospital Galway for an autopsy. The scene remains preserved for a technical examination.

A man has been arrested in connection with the disappearance and murder of Annie McCarrick, who was last seen 32 years ago. The 26-year-old woman, originally from New York, went missing on March 26, 1993. At the time, she was living in rented accommodation at St. Catherine’s Court, Sandymount, Dublin 4. On Thursday morning, gardaí confirmed they had arrested and detained a man in his 60s as part of the investigation.
