Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and the South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) are partnering again this summer to promote safe boating, personal watercraft (PWC) and all-terrain vehicle (ATV) practices.

    Despite widespread availability of the measles vaccine, the highly contagious and potentially serious virus has emerged in South Dakota. As of June 2, South Dakota saw its first diagnosed case of the measles, an adult in Meade County who developed it after traveling internationally, according to the state Department of Health (DOH). On June 6, the DOH recorded a second case in the Rapid City area and issued a statement via email confirming the case.
