The shock attack took place at noon at a residential property on Basin Street, Dublin 8, today. Gardai and emergency services raced to the scene after receiving a report that an unresponsive man was found within a flat at the Old Convent on Basin Street.

A WOMAN has died after a horror three-car crash in Waterford. The fatal smash took place on the N25, at Moonameen, Co Waterford, this afternoon. Gardai and emergency services raced the scene of the collision at approximately 2.10pm after the alarm was raised. Upon arrival at the scene 60-year-old female passenger of one of the cars was sadly pronounced dead. Her body was removed to the mortuary at University Hospital Waterford where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.

A number of gardai and medics rushed to the scene after the alarm was raised. They sealed off the area where the incident happened and carried out a technical examination. Online footage showed medics removing a member of the public from the shopping centre on a stretcher.
