AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center is trying to recover from a cyber security attack. It occurred on Sept. 26 and it is still impacting both students and patients. Doctors aren't able to fill prescriptions or schedule appointments. Patients go to the pharmacy only to find their prescriptions canceled due to the systems being offline. Patients like Todd Phillips, who had a below-the-knee amputation a few months ago, said that pales in comparison.

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — As victims in six states face the tragic aftermath of Hurricane Helene, relief efforts have begun flowing into impacted areas. Executive Director for the Panhandle Plains Red Cross chapter, Deshun Avery, called on the public to show the Panhandle Spirit and help those in need. The Red Cross is looking for volunteers. They’ll undergo four hours of training and then be placed on a list determining where they'll be sent.

NAZARETH, Texas (KVII) — Eight-year-old Bryndle Gibson from Nazareth is looking to make her dreams of singing on the national stage a reality. Four years ago, she began her singing journey hoping to put smiles on people's faces. "Well, it's like really fun because I like going up in front of crowds and making people happy and singing for the country. I just try to do my best and if I mess up I know that people will love it either way," said Bryndle.
