CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -This week’s Cuyahoga’s Most Wanted, features a Cleveland man facing charges of he raping an elderly woman. According to Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County, in June of 2024, James Collins allegedly raped a woman causing multiple injuries. Reports state the woman was in the hospital for an extensive period of time with multiple serious injuries. The Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department has a warrant out for the arrest of Collins.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WOIO) -Today, the Ohio House Finance Committee Chair Brian Stewart (R) announced House Bill 298 (HB 298) which would make gambling on slots and card games on your phone, legal in Ohio. This type of gambling from your phone is known as iGaming. According to Stewart, this is the next logical step since the state and voters approved casinos and since has legalized sports gaming from phones and computers.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -This week’s Cuyahoga’s Most Wanted features a Euclid man who the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department considers armed and extremely dangerous. According to Crime Stoppers of Cuyahoga County, Gianni Gray, Jr.’s most serious crime was in 2017 where he shot a pizza shop employee and was sentenced for aggravated robbery and kidnapping. He’s most recent case is from 2022 when Gray drove off from drug enforcement investigators. As he did, he crashed and and ran on foot.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) -There are pieces of legislation introduced at the Ohio Statehouse that could legalize what’s known as iGaming right from your phone and other devises. Other states have already legalized gambling on phones, tablets, and computers for games like poker, 21, slots and even the lottery. Senate President Rob McColley (R-Napoleon) is looking at potentially legalizing this new form of gaming and recently told the Statehouse News Bureau it might be time to make the move.
