CLAYTON — A second woman has filed suit against Massage Luxe, this time claiming she was sexually assaulted at the chain's Shrewsbury location. Only identified as Jane Doe, the woman said she was sexually assaulted Sept. 29 by massage therapist Caleb Holmes during a massage.

CLAYTON — A family here is suing McDonalds's after their son was severely burned by hot coffee, in circumstances nearly identical to a scalding spill that prompted a woman to file a now-famous lawsuit against the fast-food giant decades ago. Katarina O'Reilly filed the suit this week on behalf of her minor son, who she said suffered second-degree burns on his legs and genitals in 2021. Her attorney, Alex Wolff, said they hope to hold the company accountable.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO — St. Louis County police have identified the man who was shot and killed Friday (March 21) during an arrest at a home as Aleksandr Lanis, 38. Lanis was previously listed as an internist on Mercy health system's website. A Mercy spokeswoman said Lanis' role was terminated earlier this month. "We were saddened to learn that the suspect involved in (the) officer involved shooting was a former Mercy physician," Mercy said in a statement.

ST. LOUIS — A judge on Thursday sentenced a woman to 13 years for manslaughter after she tracked her stolen car to a gas station, where two men then died in a shootout. The sentencing came after a jury in March convicted Demesha Coleman of first-degree involuntary manslaughter and armed criminal action in the shooting death of Darius Jackson, 19, who was in her stolen car.

LOUIS — It took police here two days to realize someone had snuck into the parking garage at police headquarters, gotten into an unlocked SWAT bunker and made off with guns, ammunition and a projectile launcher. Alex Johnston, 25, was charged Sunday with the crimes. Police said at a news conference Monday that officers still hadn’t found the projectile launcher. “We’re doing everything we can to recover it,” Lt. Col. Renee Kriesmann said.
