RESIDENTS of Kilmorey Park and Cowan Street in Newry have expressed their concerns in the wake of ongoing finds of drug paraphernalia in the area. The items, which have included amongst other things weed joints, tablet boxes and perhaps most concerning of all used needles , have been deposited within the confines of a lane in the area over the course of the past several months.

THERE has been a mass celebration held within the Church of the Assumption Drumalane to commemorate the 40 year legacy of service to God and others undertaken by Newry born priest Father Gerard Tremer. Father Tremer, who is originally from Drumalane park in the city, was set on the path to carry out Christ's work whenever he was ordained as priest within the hallowed halls of the Church of the Assumption Drumalane in 1985.
