LMFM

LMFM is a standalone local radio station located in Drogheda, Ireland. It holds the title of the largest radio station in the Republic of Ireland outside of the major cities of Dublin and Cork, reaching over 300,000 adult listeners. In 2005, the station was acquired by media group UTV Media, which is now known as Wireless Group, in a transaction valued at around €10 million.

Paul Doyle, from the West Derby area of Liverpool, is charged with seven offences including dangerous driving and two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

The former Sinn Fein leader and Louth TD had sued the broadcaster over an episode of its 'Spotlight' programme, and an online article, which claimed he sanctioned the killing of Denis Donaldson - a claim he denies.     Two men aged in their 60s, who appeared at a special court in Navan yesterday afternoon (Thursday) in connection with the seizure of heroine and cocaine valued at €5.3m in Co Meath, have been remanded in custody. Joseph Sherry, 61, Allagesh, Smithborough, Co Mongan and Matthew Farrell, 63, of Lisagoan, Kingscourt, Co Cavan appeared before Judge Eirinn McKiernan.
