The Cougars joined the Big 12 this past season and have made back-to-back NCAA Tournaments. The Cornhuskers will host the Cougars at Pinnacle Bank Arena later this year before traveling to the Marriott Center in Provo, Utah, in 2026. (KOLN) - The severe weather that caused widespread damage to the Capital City, the Omaha metro, and many other areas in eastern Nebraska has left a wide array of problems in the storm's wake. Lincoln's 44 wells lost all power Wednesday following severe storms that caused extensive damage to the Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) electrical distribution system.

As of Thursday morning, Lincoln Transportation and Utilities Director, Liz Elliott, said in a statement, "We can report that we now have sufficient capacity for normal water use, but continue to encourage voluntary outdoor water conservation at this time.
