EAGLE PASS, Texas - Shelby Park has reopened to the public for the first time in over a year, allowing residents to once again enjoy the park's amenities. The park had been closed since January 2024, when the state of Texas implemented concrete barriers, guards, and armored vehicles to secure the 2-mile section of border land. Governor Greg Abbott had previously indicated that the park would reopen when migrant crossings decreased.

SAN ANTONIO - A 17-year-old suspect was arrested Tuesday morning following a high-speed chase through San Antonio, captured live by News 4 San Antonio's Sky-4 helicopter. The chase involved a stolen Honda, which police believe was used in a shootout at a Stone Oak home the previous night. Ricardo Flemate, a homeowner and 20-year Army combat veteran, said he was alerted to the presence of the stolen vehicle outside his home through social media.
