By Darren Iozia Indivisible of West Central Michigan will assist the city of Big Rapids with its post-Ferris State University graduation cleanup from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 10. Five people were transported to the hospital Sunday after a two-vehicle crash in Big Rapids Township. At 9:50 a.m. Sunday, April 27, deputies with the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to 215th Avenue, just outside Resurrection Life Church. They found that a vehicle driven by a 16-year-old male from Lakeview was heading southbound and turning east into the church parking lot.

Two people were transported to a hospital Thursday after experiencing a medical emergency while driving. At 4:40 p.m. Thursday, April 24, deputies with the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to U.S. 131 near mile marker 126 in Aetna Township. A 93-year-old man from Big Rapids experienced a medical emergency while driving, causing a single-vehicle crash, according to the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office.
