Hutchinson County, TX — Evacuations have been ordered in Borger because of a wildfire west of the city, moving toward the east. It started in the area of 1559 and Rock Creek. Those who live north of 3rd Street and west of Cedar Street, including the Rock Creek, Gateway, and Golf Course additions should evacuate to locations east of Cedar Street(Hwy 207). The Municipal Court Building at 611 Weatherly is open with a backup generator. Roughly 6,000 people in Borger are without power.

CANYON, Texas — The City of Canyon Commission decided Tuesday on setting a bond election next May for renovations of the fire station and police department. That decision followed months of discussions, and a lengthy debate during Tuesday's meeting. Place 2 Commissioner Cody Jones pushed for the bond to be set at $15 million to ensure it would cover all the costs of renovations and additions.

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — An attorney advising the Amarillo City Council in it's investigation of the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation told the council Monday the corporation's budget structure is not in alignment with state law. As ABC 7 News previously reported, the AEDC paid $750,000 to the local business collective known as The RANGE after initially committing just $100,000 to it.
